How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Calibration Engineer
    £75,000 - £95,000 + Training + Progression + Flexible Working Hours + Excellent Benefits
    Basildon, Essex (Ideally located: Southend-on-Sea, Romford, Chelmsford, Grays, Brentwood, Dagenham)

    Are you a Calibration Engineer, from a motorsport/automotive engineering background, looking to take the next step in your career with a growing company who can offer long term career development and a fantastic benefits package?

    On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business, where you will play a key role in the company's growth, whilst receiving ongoing training and development opportunities to become a technical expert.

    This specialist manufacturer operates at a multi-million-pound turnover, supplying advanced equipment across a wide range of motorsport competitions. Due to their continued success, they are now looking to add to their successful team and bring a Calibration Engineer onto the team.

    In this varied and technically challenging role, you will provide calibration and integration support to motorsport customers across the UK & internationally. Working closely with customers and internal engineering teams, you will be responsible for developing bespoke calibrations, commissioning and troubleshooting vehicle systems, and delivering technical solutions to optimise performance. You will also lead engineering projects, support product development, and act as a key technical interface between customers and the business.

    This position would suit a Calibration Engineer, from a motorsport/automotive engineering background, looking to progress their career with a leading business that has exciting plans for future growth and career development.

    The Role:
    - Calibration Engineer
    - Provide calibration and integration support to customers across the UK & internationally
    - Monday to Friday (40 Hour week - flexible working hours)

    The Person:
    - Background in motorsport / automotive / aviation engineering
    - Strong background in calibration & vehicle electronics
    - Commutable to Basildon
