This role involves the safe handling and delivery of items ranging from small household goods to larger furniture items. Drivers are expected to always maintain a professional approach while ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of customer service.
Pay Rate: £19.03 per hour – this is a temp to perm position paying a salary of £47,786.18 when perm.
Key Responsibilities;
* Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects in line with company procedures
* Load and secure goods safely to ensure damage-free transportation
* Complete multi-drop deliveries to customers’ homes, carrying items into the nominated room
* Conduct on-site risk assessments to ensure safe manual handling and delivery practices
* Provide a professional and courteous service to customers
* Process returned goods in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
Candidate Requirements;
* Full UK Driving Licence, held for a minimum of 2 years’ experience
* Previous experience in multi-drop, removals, or home delivery work
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety and manual handling procedures
* High attention to detail and the ability to follow operational processes
* Confident use of GPS and route-planning systems
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a physically demanding environment
* Happy to work as part of a 2 man crew
Additional Requirements;
* An in-date DBS check is required
* Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
