How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting. Are you an experienced English teacher looking for your next role in Trafford?

    Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded and inclusive secondary school in Trafford to recruit a dedicated and experienced Teacher of English for a full-time role starting in September 2026.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a confident classroom practitioner with strong Key Stage 4 experience who can deliver high-quality English lessons and support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including SEND.

    Daily rate: £178 - £232 per day (depending on experience)

    The role

    You will be teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4 on a full-time basis. A significant part of the timetable will involve Key Stage 4 classes, so the school is looking for an experienced teacher with excellent curriculum knowledge and strong behaviour management skills.

    The ideal candidate will:

    Have strong experience teaching English at Key Stage 4
    * Be confident planning and delivering engaging GCSE English lessons
    * Be able to adapt teaching strategies to support SEND pupils and varying learning needs
    * Create a calm, respectful and focused classroom environment
    * Have high expectations and a proven track record of helping pupils make strong progress
    * Be flexible, committed and enthusiastic about English educationThe school

    To be considered for this role, you must:

    Hold QTS or QTLS
    * Have experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4
    * Have strong experience teaching GCSE English
    * Provide a full CV with complete employment and education history
    * Have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS
