How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key responsibilities

    • Lead the club’s commercial revenue generation, with a particular focus on sponsorship and partnership sales.
    • Build and manage a pipeline of new business prospects across local, regional, national and aligned international markets.
    • Identify, approach, pitch and close new sponsors, advertisers and commercial partners for the club.
    • Create tailored partnership proposals and packages that match partner objectives and club assets.
    • Manage and grow relationships with existing partners, driving renewals, upsells and long-term value.
    • Develop and sell a clear range of commercial products, including sponsorship packages, advertising inventory, hospitality, events and matchday opportunities.
    • Work with internal club stakeholders to help increase matchday attendance through targeted commercial initiatives, ticketing promotions, group offers and partner-led campaigns.
    • Lead and support local community activations that build awareness of the club, strengthen local relationships and create new routes to attendance, partnership and revenue growth.
    • Develop and grow the club’s merchandising and retail offer, including physical and online sales, product ideas, stock coordination and supporter-focused sales opportunities.
    • Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve merchandise quality, visibility and sales performance on matchdays and online.
    • Play an active role on matchdays, helping to drive commercial delivery, partner activations, hospitality, promotions and other income-generating activity.
    • Ensure matchday sponsors, guests and commercial partners receive a high-quality experience and that all agreed rights and activations are delivered professionally.
    • Maintain accurate reporting on sales activity, pipeline progress, revenue closed and future opportunities.
    • Contribute ideas for new revenue streams that fit the identity and growth ambitions of Caledonian Braves FC.

    Candidate profile

    Essential

    • Proven experience in B2B sales, sponsorship sales, partnerships, advertising sales or business development.
    • A track record of generating revenue and closing deals.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, both in person and in writing.
    • Highly organised, self-motivated and target-driven.
    • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment.
    • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in line with matchdays, community events and partner activity.

    Desirable

    • Experience working in football, sport, events, media or entertainment.
    • Understanding of sponsorship rights, partner servicing and activation.
    • Experience of developing local partnerships, promotions or community-facing campaigns that increase attendance or audience engagement.
    • Experience of merchandising, retail, hospitality or matchday commercial operations.
    • Existing network of relevant business contacts.

  • Success in the role

    Success will be measured through:

    • Development of a stronger, more visible and engaged local presence for the club.

  • Package

    • Approx. £21,000 base salary per annum (4 days per week at £12.71/hour).
    • Attractive commission structure linked to new and renewed commercial revenue.
