How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HIU Engineer
    Location: Covering North London
    Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 DOE + Call out OTE £60k
    Hours: Monday-Friday - 40 hours a week + call out (Max 1 in 4)

    Our client is looking for a skilled HIU Engineer to join their growing team, covering North London. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term position with a company that values its engineers and offers a clear pathway for career progression.
    You'll benefit from a dedicated working area based around your postcode, helping to keep travel manageable while providing a steady pipeline of work.
    What You'll Be Doing
    * Installing HIU systems, including associated pipework
    * Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing of HIUs
    * Completing accurate records of work and materials using the company PDA/IT system
    * Diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently and professionally
    * Communicating clearly with clients and property managers regarding job progress and follow-up works
    * Working safely and maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times
    What We're Looking For
    * NVQ Level 2 Plumbing qualification
    * Full UK Driving Licence
    * Previous HIU engineering experience
    * Experience working within commercial and/or residential properties
    * Social Housing experience is desirable but not essential
    * A professional approach with good communication skills
