How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Lecturer in Building Services Engineering

    £42,477 - £44,969 per annum

    We have an excellent reputation for providing quality education in Construction and the Built Environment and due to growth, we are currently looking for full time or part time lecturers in Construction Management to join our team of construction specialists.  

    If you have industry experience in the construction industry and are interested in a teaching career, we would like to hear from you. Subjects you could be teaching include, Principles of Electrical Design and Installation, Science Principles for BSE and Sustainable Construction.  

    If you have industry experience in building Services Engineering and are considering a career in teaching, we would love to hear from you. Potential subjects include Principles of Electrical Design and Installation, Science Principles for BSE and Sustainable Construction. We will explore your areas of expertise in more detail at interview and discuss how your skills can best fit within our team.  

    The ability to communicate effectively with adults and young people is essential. Experience of teaching at National and Higher National level is desirable. Possession of (or willingness to achieve) a Certificate in Education will be essential. (Teacher training will be provided if necessary)
