How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Bid Writer at First Response Group plays a pivotal role in securing new business by leading the creation and coordination of compelling, compliant, and competitive bid submissions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Bid Writer ensures that proposals are strategically aligned, well-crafted, and delivered on time.

    About the Role
    Oversee and drive the entire bid lifecycle, from strategic planning and content creation to pricing strategy and final submission.
    Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to gather critical insights, data, and resources that enhance bid quality and competitiveness.
    Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and engagement throughout the bidding process.
    Ensure all bid submissions are fully compliant with regulatory standards and tailored to client-specific requirements.
    Lead bid-related meetings, reviews, and post-submission debriefs, fostering continuous learning and process improvement.
    Deliver compelling presentations to clients, effectively communicating value propositions and differentiators during the bidding phase.
    Monitor and evaluate bid performance metrics to identify trends, inform strategy, and drive ongoing improvement.

    Requirements

    Proven experience in bid writing, proposal development, or bid management.
    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
    Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
    Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging content.
    Resilient under pressure, adaptable to shifting priorities, and committed to meeting tight deadlines.
    Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams and building trust with stakeholders
