How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About Us

Foodari is an award-winning, fast-growing business specialising in the supply of locally sourced, fresh produce. From Michelin-starred restaurants to local schools, we serve a wide and wonderful range of customers. Based in beautiful rural Kent, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and a passionate, friendly team.

As we continue to grow, we want to make sure our people, managers and departments are supported in the right way. We are now looking for a confident, practical and people-focused People Partner to work closely with our night team, helping managers & supervisors lead well, supporting colleagues, and strengthening the culture that makes Foodari special.

    The Role

As a People Partner, you will be a key link between our People team and our night shift. This is a hands-on role with real opportunity to make a difference. As well as supporting day-to-day people matters, you’ll help review current ways of working within the department, identifying where communication, responsibilities, processes or management routines could be clearer or more consistent. Working with the People & Culture team and operational leaders, you’ll help suggest practical improvements and support the implementation of positive change.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the operation, building relationships, solving problems early, and making a real difference to the employee experience.

    Hours

    Sunday 5pm - 10.30pm

    Mon - Thursday 2pm - 10.30pm

Hours are negotiable- but this role is primarily to work alongside the 'night shift'.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with managers to build & develop high performing, engaged teams
    • Identify areas where roles, responsibilities or expectations are unclear and work with managers and supervisors to suggest practical improvements
    • Help to create consistent structures, processes and expectations across the shift and the company
    • Feeding back themes, risks and improvement opportunities to the People, Culture & Accounts Manager
    • Help individuals to grow, develop and realise their potential
    • Analyse data to identify trends, inform talent planning, and improve employee engagement initiatives
    • Embed a positive, values-led culture to drive employee engagement, wellbeing & retention
    • Enable ambitious teams to deliver exceptional results by creating an environment where people can thrive and perform at their best, developing capability, succession and future talents
    • Coach and support leaders through people challenges
    • Manage and optimise utilisation of HRIS platforms such as Employment Hero, Humand and other systems to streamline HR processes
    • Provide guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices across the organisation
    • Manage first-stage recruitment and support onboarding & new starter check ins
    • Support organisational growth & change initiatives
    • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies

    What we are looking for

Someone who is approachable, confident and practical, with good judgement and strong people skills.

    You'll need:

    • Experience in an HR, People, employee relations, advisory or people support role
    • To be comfortable working in a growing business where processes and structures are evolving
    • The ability to spot gaps, patterns and opportunities for improvement
    • Confidence suggesting practical changes in a constructive way
    • Ability to support managers and colleagues through change
    • Strength to challenge unclear ways of working, while building trust and keeping people on side
    • Good understanding of absence, conduct, performance and probation processes
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    • The ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially
    • A fair, consistent and solutions-focused approach
    • Strong organisation and follow-through
    • A proactive, team-oriented attitude
    • Good computer literacy and confidence using HR systems or similar platforms

Experience in logistics, warehousing, transport, food distribution, manufacturing or another fast-paced operational environment would be a real advantage, but attitude, judgement, and the ability to build trust are just as important.

CIPD qualification or equivalent, would be desirable.

    What We Offer

    • Competitive salary dependent on experience
    • Discounted produce at cost price
    • Monthly food voucher for our delicious fresh fruit and veg
    • A positive, inclusive team culture where everyone is treated as an individual
    • Regular BBQs and team socials
    • Employee Assistance Programme
    • Real opportunity to grow with a company offering training, development and full support.
    • The chance to make a genuine impact on our people, managers, and culture
    • A supportive environment where your ideas and input will be valued

  • This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant, ambitious business that values its people just as much as its produce. If you are passionate about supporting people, building strong working relationships, and helping managers create great teams, we’d love to hear from you.
