How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Electronics Engineer
    Cambridgeshire
    Up to £80,000

    The group are a leading water solutions innovator, operating globally, however you will be working for one of its key brands, who are set up similar to a consultancy business and are experts in electronics, physics, mechanics and software. The electronics team within the business are a small close-knit team looking for another senior member to help lead the way.

    The business drive a forward thinking, collaborative environment where they want their team to be inquisitive and curious about how to come up with solutions. If you have always been pigeonholed within your previous roles and want to continue to be so, then this company won't be right for you! If you want to learn about other areas of the business, to be able to have technical conversations with cross functional engineers and generally be creative, then read on.

    The role;

    You will be the senior member of the engineering team, focusing on electronics. You will be responsible for analog design, PCB layout as well as all the hardware aspect of power electronics and power management systems. This role will be office based, but does involve regular touch points with customers, virtually and in person! So being happy to be customer facing is important within this position.

    What we need from you;

    Strong Electronics Engineering background, including an electronics focused degree
    3-6 years electronics experience, ideally within a consultancy business
    Knowledge of analog design as well as embedded system hardware design
