How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Operative (Permanent Nights)
    Location: Devizes, Wiltshire
    Salary: £32,000 - £39,000 per annum (including shift allowance)
    Job Type: Permanent

    The Opportunity

    We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business on a permanent night shift.     Working Pattern

    Sunday: 11:00pm - 7:00am
    Monday to Thursday: 10:00pm - 6:00am
    39 hours per week
    Permanent Night Shift

    The Role

    As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, operating production equipment, monitoring product quality, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

    Working as part of a close-knit team, you will help maintain production output while contributing to a clean, organised, and productive working environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operate production machinery and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
    Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
    Carry out routine checks and basic adjustments to equipment where required.
    Complete production records and documentation accurately.
    Identify and report any quality, safety, or equipment issues.
    Ensure products are manufactured to the required specifications.
    Maintain a clean and organised work area.
    Work closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines.
    Follow all health, safety, and company procedures.
    Support continuous improvement activities within the production department.

    Candidate Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, assembly, or factory environment.
    A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    Good communication skills.
    Reliability and punctuality.
    A flexible approach and willingness to learn new skills.
    Ability to work permanent night shifts.
