How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

An established specialist machinery business is looking to recruit an experienced Marketing Manager to lead its UK marketing activity and support continued growth across multiple commercial divisions.

This is a broad, hands-on marketing role suited to someone with experience in a technical, industrial, engineering, plant, machinery, automotive, construction equipment or capital equipment environment. The company supplies and supports specialist equipment used across sectors such as construction, utilities, highways, infrastructure, environmental services and industrial cleaning.

The successful candidate will take ownership of marketing strategy, brand positioning, campaign delivery, content planning, digital marketing, events, promotional materials and agency management. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure marketing activity directly supports sales growth, customer engagement and wider business objectives.

    The Role

As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering marketing activity across the business, covering equipment sales, aftersales, service support, spare parts and training.

This will include managing campaigns, improving brand visibility, producing engaging content, analysing marketing performance and ensuring the business is presented professionally and consistently across all channels.

You will also provide support and guidance to a Marketing Assistant, helping to prioritise workload, develop skills and maintain effective day-to-day delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

Develop and deliver the marketing strategy in line with wider business objectives.

    *

Manage campaigns across digital, print, events, website content and customer communications.

    *

Work closely with directors and senior managers to support commercial growth.

    *

Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour.

    *

Track campaign performance and report findings to the senior leadership team.

    *

Manage relationships with external agencies, designers and third-party suppliers.

    *

Oversee branded materials including brochures, case studies, adverts and online content.

    *

Manage the marketing budget and ensure spend is measured against return on investment.

    *

Coordinate company attendance at exhibitions, trade shows and industry events.

    *

Mentor and support a Marketing Assistant with workload planning and professional development.

    Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a commercially focused Marketing Manager with experience working in a business-to-business environment.

    You will need to demonstrate:

    *

Proven experience in a marketing management role.

    *

Experience within a technical, engineering, machinery, plant, vehicle, industrial or capital equipment sector would be highly advantageous.

    *

Strong campaign management experience across online and offline channels.

    *

Good understanding of digital marketing, social media, website content and paid advertising.

    *

Experience using platforms such as LinkedIn, Google Ads, Meta/Facebook advertising or similar.

    *

Ability to analyse marketing data and use insight to improve future activity.

    *

Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.

    *

Experience managing budgets, suppliers and external agencies.

    *

A marketing degree or related qualification would be beneficial, but is not essential.

    *

Previous experience managing or mentoring a junior marketing team member would be advantageous.

    What’s on Offer

    *

    Salary of £58,000 – £65,000 per annum.

    *

Permanent, full-time position with an established and growing business.

    *

Broad marketing leadership role with influence over UK marketing strategy.

    *

Supportive senior leadership team and collaborative working environment.

    *

Professional development and long-term career opportunity.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Manager who enjoys working close to the commercial side of a business and wants to make a measurable impact within a specialist B2B machinery environment.

Applications are welcomed from candidates with experience in marketing for technical products, engineering businesses, specialist vehicles, plant machinery, construction equipment, industrial equipment, environmental services or other capital equipment sectors
