How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Step into a pivotal role where your expertise will drive the seamless coordination of materials shipment offshore, supporting critical operations and ensuring safety and accuracy every step of the way.
     
    As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our clients Warehouse & Supply Chain Management function, responsible for managing all aspects of shipping logistics—from building and maintaining shipment documentation to liaising with port authorities and operational planners.
     
    This initial 12-month contract ( highly likely to be extended), based in Great Yarmouth, offers a Monday to Friday schedule with occasional on-call responsibilities.
     
    What You’ll Bring:

    Proficient computer skills, especially with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
    Strong organizational, planning, and numeric abilities with exceptional attention to detail
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders
    Solutions-driven mindset to efficiently manage complex shipping schedules and documentation Additional Skills That Will Set You Apart:

    Forklift license (highly desirable)
    Full UK driving license
    Training/certification in Dangerous Goods transportation by Road, Air & Sea 
    Preferred Experience & Education:

    Experience in shipping coordination, logistics, or warehouse operations is highly advantageous
    Background involving operational safety compliance and quality assurance checks
    Familiarity with SAP or other inventory and shipping management systems preferred
    Previous experience in HSE roles, permit control, or site induction coordination a plus Other Requirements:

    Ability to be on call occasionally during evenings or weekends
    Commitment to maintaining rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards
