How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Site Manager x2 - Social Housing Refurbishment

    Location: Wakefield
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week)
    Positions Available: 2

    We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Site Managers to join a growing refurbishment team delivering planned maintenance and refurbishment works within the social housing sector across Wakefield.

    This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Site Managers with a strong background in housing refurbishment and occupied properties to join a well-established contractor delivering high-quality projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage day-to-day site operations across refurbishment and planned maintenance programmes.
    Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour, plant and materials.
    Develop and manage site programmes, phasing and methods of work.
    Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
    Maintain site administration, records and reporting procedures.
    Liaise with residents, clients and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
    Drive high standards of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
    Conduct inspections, quality checks and oversee defect resolution.

    Requirements

    Proven experience as a Site Manager within social housing refurbishment or planned maintenance.
    Experience managing works in occupied properties.
    Strong knowledge of internal and external refurbishment programmes.
    Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    Strong IT skills.
    Experience using housing management systems and site reporting software.
    Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and take ownership of project delivery.
    Thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance requirements.
