How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Supporting pupils in developing strategies to regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively
    * Delivering interventions focused on resilience, self-esteem, and social skills
    * Assisting students during periods of transition back into mainstream lessons
    * Building strong relationships with pupils to promote trust, confidence, and positive outcomes
    * Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching and pastoral staff
    * Working collaboratively with families and external agencies where appropriate

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    * Strong understanding of behaviour management and inclusion strategies
    * Patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting young people
    * Confident working with pupils who may present with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
    * Able to build positive relationships while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries
    * Resilient, adaptable, and solution-focused in challenging situations
    * Committed to a long-term role and making a lasting impact on students' lives

Why Work with Long Term Futures?
    * Long-term temp-to-perm opportunities offering stability and career progression
    * Weekly pay through a straightforward digital payroll system
    * Free CPD opportunities, including Behaviour Management, SEMH, and Positive Handling
    * Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant throughout your placement
    * Opportunities to gain valuable experience within a supportive secondary school environment
