How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Maidstone (ME)
    Salary: £125 - £150 per day (competitive, based on experience).
    Overtime x 1.5 for evening and Saturday shifts; x 2 for Sunday shifts.
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5pm (9.5-hour days). Overtime flexibility is required to work evenings and weekends, when needed.

    Purpose
    Overseeing day-to-day operations on site, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard. You will manage staff, liaise with clients, and ensure site safety and adherence to health and safety procedures. Your leadership and organisational skills will be key in ensuring all work is carried out effectively, with a focus on high-quality standards and client satisfaction.

    On-Site Administration:

    Complete all required on-site administration, vehicle and pre-use checks ensuring records are up to date and compliant with company standards.
    Ensure all relevant site paperwork is completed to the required level, including daily risk assessments, task allocation sheets, site timesheets and incident reports on Procore.Team Leadership:

    Deliver detailed briefings to all site staff and visitors, ensuring full understanding of tasks and safety protocols.
    Delegate tasks appropriately based on skills and experience, ensuring efficient use of team resources.
    Ensure all staff are fully briefed on the day's tasks, health and safety procedures, and any changes to risk assessments.Client Liaison:

    Act as the primary point of contact for site-based clients, maintaining professional and clear communication at all times.
    Liaise with clients as needed, addressing concerns and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.Health & Safety:

    Take full responsibility for ensuring the safety of the site, including overseeing staff tasking and ensuring safe working practices.
    Ensure the team is aware of emergency procedures, hospital locations, and any necessary rescue plans.
    Apply health and safety reporting procedures in the event of site or vehicle incidents, and escalate as appropriate.
    Regularly attend Safety Forums and apply new knowledge to improve site safety and operational procedures.
    Ensure changes to the daily risk assessment are communicated and documented as needed.Maintenance & Equipment:

    Ensure tools and machinery are properly maintained and serviced according to the maintenance schedule, issues raised through Procore and Works Manager
    Raise service requests through Procore in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
    Possess an advanced understanding of machinery maintenance and be capable of making reasonable repairs on site.Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:

    Proactively identify and solve site-based issues, escalating only when necessary to the Non-Working Supervisor or Works Manager.
    Document all actions taken in the daily risk assessment or allocation sheets.
    Ensure that any challenges are addressed quickly and effectively, minimising impact on the job.Site Planning & Organisation:

    Plan and organise site work, ensuring that tasks are allocated appropriately to team members.
    Monitor and regulate working time and breaks to optimise productivity and maintain staff well-being.
    Ensure the site is completed to the required standard and on time, raise issues to the leadership team when necessary.Leadership & Role Modelling:

    Lead by example in both work ethic and adherence to safety standards.
    Take responsibility for continuous improvement, ensuring the team operates at the highest standard.
    Provide guidance and mentorship to team members as needed, supporting professional development.Customer:

    Be aware of your impact on the local community and the end customer.
    Ensure any interactions with Customers are courteous and where issues arise escalate appropriately.
    Direct any Customer queries and complaints to the Team Leader and main office.Qualifications (essential)
