How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Associate Quantity Surveyor

    London | £80,000 - £85,000 + Benefits

    A leading high-end residential construction and development company in London is seeking an ambitious and client-focused Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

    The Associate Quantity Surveyor's Role

    The successful Associate Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the delivery of prestigious residential projects, ranging from luxury new-build homes to complex refurbishment and restoration schemes across London. The Associate Quantity Surveyor will work closely with senior leadership, project teams, clients, and consultants, providing strategic commercial support and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.

    Day to day, the Associate Quantity Surveyor will oversee the commercial management of multiple projects, including cost planning, procurement, contract administration, valuations, variations, and final accounts. The Associate Quantity Surveyor will also contribute to business growth, mentor junior team members, and help drive commercial best practice across the business.

    This role offers excellent career progression and the opportunity for an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to take on greater leadership responsibilities within a respected specialist in the high-end residential sector.

    The Associate Quantity Surveyor - Requirements

    Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a RICS-accredited equivalent
    MRICS qualified or equivalent professional accreditation preferred
    Minimum of 7 years' Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry
    Strong background delivering high-end residential projects
    Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial management processes
    Proven cost planning, procurement, and contract administration experience
    Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
    Professional, confident, and client-facing approach
    Ability to mentor and support junior surveyors
