How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance Engineer

    Location- Warrington
    Salary- £50,500 per annum
    Shifts- Panama Shift Pattern (Days & Nights)
    Holidays- 25 Days Holiday

    The Opportunity

    We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join a global, stable, and well-established business based in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their skills, with outstanding training and development available, including PLC programming courses (Profinet / Profibus).

    You’ll be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, carrying out both mechanical and electrical maintenance on production machinery.

    Key Responsibilities

    Diagnosing and fault-finding mechanical and electrical issues
    Stripping down machinery and rebuilding equipment
    Replacing worn mechanical components such as bearings, sprockets, chains, and belts
    Electrical fault finding on control panels
    Changing and configuring inverters and drives
    Monitoring and supporting PLC-controlled systems
    Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
    Skills & Experience Required

    Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer (mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled)
    Strong fault-finding skills in industrial/manufacturing environments
    Experience working with PLC systems (training provided for advanced programming)
    Knowledge of inverters, drives, motors, and control panels
    Willingness to work a Panama shift pattern (days & nights)
