Position: Ocean Export Operator

Location: Solihull

Salary: Up to £32,000

Hours: Monday-Friday based on 37.5 hours per week

We are currently working with a well-established and growing logistics business based in the Solihull area who are looking to recruit an experienced Ocean Export Operator to join their busy export team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced operator to step into a stable and fast-paced environment within international freight forwarding.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing ocean export shipments from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for customers and overseas partners.

Key responsibilities include:

Handling ocean export shipments from booking through to final delivery
Preparing and processing all relevant export documentation
Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, and transport providers
Arranging collections, shipments, and export customs requirements
Ensuring compliance with international trade and customs regulations
Tracking shipments and proactively resolving any issues or delays
Providing regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders
Working closely with the wider operations team to ensure smooth workflow

What We're Looking For

Experience in ocean export operations (essential)
Strong knowledge of export procedures and documentation
Confident communicator with good customer service skills
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience working within a freight forwarding or logistics environment

Package

Salary up to £32,000 (depending on experience)
Monday to Friday working hours
Office-based role in Solihull
