How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager - New Build

    🚧 160 units, including a mix of houses and low-rise apartment blocks.

    💵 £70k + car allowance + 15% bonus

    📍Eddington, Cambridge

    Role

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a bespoke, privately owned developer on their flagship residential scheme in Eddington, Cambridge.

    The development consists of 160 units across a mix of houses and low-rise apartment blocks. With the structures now completed on the first phase, the project has moved into the internal fit-out stage, and we are looking for a Site Manager to take ownership of the internal works package through to completion.

    Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will be responsible for managing all internal trades, coordinating subcontractors, driving programme, and ensuring exceptional standards are maintained throughout the build.

    Responsibilities

    * Manage all internal fit-out works from first fix through to handover

    * Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on site

    * Monitor programme and ensure deadlines are achieved

    * Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality

    * Carry out inspections and manage snagging works

    * Work closely with the Project Director and wider site team

    Requirements

    * Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential construction

    * Strong internal fit-out experience on housing or apartment schemes

    * Excellent organisational and communication skills

    * Ability to manage programme and subcontractors effectively

    * SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications required
