Salary: £50,000 - £51,000 + 10% Annual Bonus (OTE £55,000+)
Shift Pattern: Continental Days Only
6:00am - 6:00pm
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Data Centre Shift Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical Bias) to join a prestigious client directly at their critical data centre facility in Woking.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced building services engineer seeking a career within a mission-critical environment. The successful candidate will join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining the site's critical infrastructure and ensuring maximum uptime.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across critical building services systems.
Monitoring and maintaining plant equipment to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.
Supporting the continuous operation of critical infrastructure within the data centre environment.
Completing all maintenance documentation, logbooks, permits to work, and compliance records.
Responding to equipment faults and ensuring timely resolution.
Working closely with the engineering team to maintain industry-leading uptime standards.
Supporting subcontractors and specialist service providers on site.Typical Equipment Maintained

Mechanical or Electrical Qualifications (Level 3 Preferred):
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent; or
City & Guilds Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline.For Electrical Bias Engineers:
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
Testing & Inspection (2391) advantageousIdeal Candidate
Mechanical or Electrical bias with experience in commercial building services maintenance.
Previous experience working in critical environments such as data centres, hospitals, banking, pharmaceutical, or other high-availability sites is advantageous.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
Good understanding of health & safety and permit-to-work systems.
Professional, client-facing approach with excellent communication skills.
Comfortable working a continental days-only shift pattern.What's on Offer?
