How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Part-time *female SEN Support Worker, TN15. Supporting an engaging, energetic and fun-loving 15-year-old young lady with an Acquired Brain Injury. Up to £27,934.00 + Gross Per Annum.
    * Nearest Station: Borough Green (1.2 miles away)
    * Salary/Wage: £20.20 Weekdays | £22.20 Weekends | £27,934.00 + Per Annum (for 4 afternoons and alternate weekend day). All figures quoted in gross
    * Driving Requirements: Yes, with own car to travel to and from the family / client home as is a remote property
    * Essential: Experience supporting clients with epilepsy/seizure management, and of working within a family setting. Applicants must be comfortable working in a family home with large dogs and other pets, be a non-smoker/vaper. This role is open to *female applicants only.
    * Start Date: ASAP
    * Days & Hours: 2, 3 or 4 afternoons between Monday to Thursday, 4.00pm – 9.00pm plus alternate Saturday or Sunday 9.00am-9.00pm
    * Pets in Home: 4 Large dogs, 2 cats, 2 Sugar Gliders and a Horse.

    About the Client/Child Alice, 15, is a fabulous teenager with a real enthusiasm for life, learning, and play. She has a great sense of humour, likes a good laugh and LOVES pantomimes! Alice enjoys a range of activities and hobbies such as horse riding, imaginative and creative play, colouring and playing tag. Alice has an acquired brain injury, epilepsy, a learning disability, hearing loss and a movement disorder affecting all four limbs. Alice uses an electric wheelchair when outside which she loves to zoom around in which is great fun! Alice can communicate verbally in short sentences; it can take a little time to get used to her speech as she gets very excited when talking. Alice can find it difficult to process information and so needs short, clear and concise communication. Alice lives at home with her mum, stepdad, step-sister – and multiple pets, including 4 large dogs. She has an adult sibling who regularly visits, she spends alternate weekend days with her dad.
    The Role at a Glance This role involves supporting Alice after school and on an alternative Saturday or Sunday. Alice is great fun and generally very happy, though at times she may present behaviours that challenge, including screaming or self-injurious behaviours, requiring a calm, confident and consistent approach. The focus of this role is on engaging Alice in meaningful, enjoyable and stimulating activities at home and in the community. You will also support her personal care, mobility and clinical needs, including following epilepsy management protocols; full training is provided. Alice’s mum is always nearby to offer guidance and support, so you will not be working alone. The role includes record keeping, and incorporating elements of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and at a later date, music therapy into daily routines. Alice lives in a busy family home with dogs, cats and Sugar Gliders, so applicants must be comfortable working around pets.
    This Job Would Suit The ideal candidate will be confident, engaging, and energetic, with a flair for creating fun and creative activities for Alice during after-school routines. You should have experience supporting clients with epilepsy and seizure management, as well as experience working within a family home setting. Applicants must be comfortable in a household with large dogs and other pets, be a non-smoker/vaper, and this role is open to female applicants only.
