How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will work alongside experienced commercial and operational professionals, helping to drive project performance whilst ensuring contractual compliance and commercial success.

This role is ideally suited to an ambitious individual looking to further their career within the nuclear and energy sectors and gain exposure to one of the most prestigious projects in the UK construction and engineering market.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Administer and manage contracts in accordance with NEC contractual principles and procedures.

    * Prepare and assess applications for payment, variations, change control, and final account submissions.

    * Support the management of compensation events, early warning notices, and contractual communications.

    * Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial performance.

    * Assist with subcontract procurement and ongoing subcontractor account management.

    * Identify commercial risks and opportunities and contribute to mitigation strategies.

    * Produce accurate commercial reports and support project forecasting activities.

    * Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, planners, and operational teams to achieve project objectives.

    * Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key project stakeholders.

    About You

    * Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management position within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or building services.

    * Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and their practical application.

    * A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within the Energy and Nuclear sectors.

    * Understanding of Mechanical Services, HVAC systems, or MEP installations would be highly advantageous.

    * Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

    * Proactive approach with a desire to learn, develop, and take ownership of responsibilities.

    * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent industry experience.

    Why Join?

    * Opportunity to work on Hinkley Point C, one of the UK’s most prestigious and high-profile infrastructure projects.

    * Exposure to a world-class project environment with long-term programme stability.

    * Clear career progression opportunities within the Energy and Nuclear sectors.

    * Work alongside industry-leading professionals on technically complex engineering packages.

    * Competitive salary, benefits package, and professional development support.
