How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Contracts Manager

    Our client is a specialist contractor operating across complex construction environments, delivering project management, logistics, and site support solutions on some of the most technically challenging developments in the UK and Europe. With a strong reputation in the market for operational excellence, client service, and successful project delivery, they are continuing to expand their already prominent presence within the rapidly growing Data Centre sector.

    Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work across Europe, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. This role will see you operating on large-scale data centre developments, taking full ownership of projects valued at approximately £40M and managing one to two schemes concurrently.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business at the forefront of one of construction's fastest-growing markets. The successful individual will be responsible for driving project delivery, managing key stakeholder relationships, and acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

    The role will involve regular travel across Europe, primarily supporting projects in Finland, the Netherlands, and Denmark, making it ideally suited to someone who enjoys working within an international environment and leading projects across multiple locations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Taking full ownership of one to two live data centre projects across Europe, with individual project values of circa £40M
    * Serving as the primary point of contact for all clients, consultants, and key project stakeholders
    * Managing and resolving project issues proactively to ensure successful project outcomes
    * Overseeing project programmes and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
    * Coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners across multiple work streams
    * Driving high standards of health, safety, quality, and compliance across all project activities
    * Managing project reporting, risk registers, and client communications throughout the project lifecycle
    * Conducting regular project reviews and implementing corrective actions where required
    * Building and maintaining strong client relationships to support repeat business opportunitiesRequirements

    Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, Contracts Manager, or similar leadership role within construction
    * Experience delivering large-scale projects as either Principal Contractor or Main Contractor
    * Data centre, mission-critical, logistics, infrastructure, or complex construction project experience would be preferred
    * Strong understanding of project delivery, programme management, and contract administration
    * Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
    * Ability to identify, manage, and resolve project issues effectively
    * Strong client-facing experience with the confidence to operate as the lead representative on major projects
    * Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
    * Willingness to travel across Europe as required by project demands
    * Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyWhat's on Offer
