How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an individual who enjoys taking ownership of MEP delivery from pre-construction through commissioning and handover, while collaborating with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to achieve successful project outcomes.

    The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health services across multiple projects, ensuring safety, quality, programme, commercial, and technical objectives are achieved.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Monitor and assess the performance of M&E subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

    * Act as the senior technical point of contact for resolving complex MEP issues.

    * Promote a strong safety-first culture and ensure all activities are carried out in line with project and organisational safety requirements.

    * Work closely with project teams to ensure quality standards and compliance requirements are maintained.

    * Build, mentor, and develop MEP teams, creating a collaborative and high-performing working environment.

    * Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout project delivery.

    * Review design information and ensure installations meet client requirements, project specifications, and industry standards.

    * Manage relationships with consultants, utility providers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.

    * Support commercial teams with technical reviews, change management, and assessment of variations.

    * Attend project meetings and provide leadership where senior technical input is required.

    * Monitor installation progress and drive timely resolution of technical challenges.

    * Oversee testing, commissioning, demonstration, and final handover activities.

    * Ensure all MEP works are delivered in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, and project requirements.

    Candidate Profile

    * Degree, diploma, or recognised qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

    * Alternatively, a qualified Mechanical or Electrical trade background with significant project delivery experience.

    * Minimum 10 years’ experience within the construction industry.

    * At least 5 years’ experience in an MEP Coordination, Technical Services, or Project Leadership role.

    * Strong understanding of building services design, installation, commissioning, and handover processes.

    * Experience delivering Data Centre, Critical Environment, Life Sciences, Industrial, or other technically complex projects.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * Proven ability to lead teams and build strong working relationships across project stakeholders.

    * Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently.

    * Results-driven with a strong commitment to quality and successful project delivery.

    Opportunity

This position offers the chance to work on some of the most technically challenging projects within the Data Centre and Critical Environments sector, alongside an experienced and collaborative team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex MEP packages from inception through to completion while contributing to the continued success and growth of the business
