How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CNC Programmer (Hypermill)
    Up to £55,000
    Hemel Hempstead

The Collective Network is recruiting on behalf of a leading precision machining specialist supplying complex components to the robotics, aerospace and space sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer with strong Openmind Hypermill knowledge to join a business at the forefront of advanced manufacturing.

Working within a highly skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for creating and optimising machining strategies for complex, high-precision components. From reviewing engineering drawings through to proving out programs on the shop floor, you'll play a key role in ensuring parts are manufactured efficiently, accurately and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include developing machining processes, selecting appropriate cutting tools, generating detailed setup documentation and validating programs through simulation before release to production. You will also support first-off manufacture and inspection activities, making program amendments where necessary to achieve dimensional conformity.

The role will involve designing and developing bespoke fixtures and work-holding solutions, while working closely with machinists and quality inspectors to ensure components meet exacting customer specifications.

We're looking for a CNC Programmer with proven experience using Openmind Hypermill, a strong understanding of multi-axis machining, and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.

Experience within aerospace, space, motorsport or other high-precision manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.

If this role appeals to you, please hit apply and our Senior Consultant Jack will be in touch to discuss the position with you in more detail
