We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Colchester that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join its successful Humanities department. Job Overview:
Full-time, Monday - Friday History Teacher role.
Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
Encourage students to develop critical thinking, research, and analytical skills.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress to ensure strong attainment and achievement.
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with the Humanities department and wider school team.
Contribute to curriculum development, enrichment activities, and educational visits.

What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in History or a related subject.
Experience teaching History at secondary school level.

A positive, proactive, and collaborative approach.
Commitment to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
