How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quality Inspector
    šŸ“ Portsmouth (PO3)
    šŸ•’ Full-time | Permanent

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation based in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing quality team supporting the delivery of safety-critical products to global aerospace standards.

    The Role

    As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet stringent engineering and regulatory requirements. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for inspecting components and assemblies at various stages of production, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Inspect sub-assemblies and finished products throughout the manufacturing lifecycle
    Verify components against engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality criteria
    Use a range of inspection and measuring equipment to ensure conformity
    Support production teams to maintain quality standards and customer satisfaction
    Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within engineering and manufacturing

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will bring:

    Proven experience in a quality inspection role within an aerospace manufacturing environment
    Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
    Experience using a variety of inspection and measurement tools
    Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach

    Desirable Skills & Experience

    Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, or CAA Part 21G standards
    Previous aerospace inspection experience
    Relevant engineering or quality qualifications (advantageous)

    Working Hours

    Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15
    Friday: 07:30 - 16:00
    Every other Friday off
