This is an extremely exciting and rewarding opportunity where you will play a pivotal role in the education and emotional development on pupils with SEMH.
Your new role:
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be supporting pupils across KS2, KS3 and KS4 on a 1:1 basis, ensuring that each pupils individual attainment, social and emotional needs are not only met, but at the heart of all operations. As all pupils you will be supporting have SEMH you will need to take a pupil-centred approach to support, tailoring strategies and interventions as to aid in building strong constructive relationships and promoting positive behaviours. You will also:
* Support pupils to access their local community
* Hold interventions and boosters in core subjects
* Work in collaboration with teachers and SLT
What you need to succeed:
* Full “Right to Work” in the UK
* Relevant referenceable classroom experience
* Experience supporting SEN. SEMH is highly advantageous
* A passion for supporting disadvantaged pupils
* Be able to commit to a full-time contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week
* An Enhanced Children’s DBS or willingness to obtain
