We are recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join an independent, precision engineering company in Swindon.
You will be part of a skilled, close-knit team producing high-quality components, where accuracy, consistency and attention to detail are essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Welder who takes pride in producing work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
TIG Welder Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate TIG welding equipment
*
Weld stainless steel, aluminium, aluminium bronze and mild steel components
*
Carry out purge welding to required specifications
*
Work from engineering drawings, interpreting symbols and tight tolerances
*
Weld components in various positions using both jigged and freehand methods
*
Spot welding
*
Carry out brazing, including high-temperature silver and low-temperature brass work
*
Complete finishing tasks such as grinding, polishing, fettling and deburring
*
Use hand tools and powered equipment to achieve required surface finish
*
Measure and inspect components to ensure compliance with specifications
*
Produce batch work to consistent quality standards
*
Maintain accurate production records and log operational data
*
Work within an established Quality Management System and follow environmental and safety standards
TIG Welder Working Hours:
This is a permanent position working a 39-hr week working on double day rotational shift patterns / alternating on a weekly basis.
*
Early shift: Monday to Thursday: 06.00 - 14.00 / Friday: 06.00 – 13.00
*
Late shift: Monday to Thursday: 14.00 – 22.15 / Friday: 13.00 – 19.00
