How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Remote/ Home based role open to candidates from Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, West Midlands, Midlands, Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Peak District and the surrounding areas

    Are you a Machine Operator/ Technician with experience working on Edgebanders and wood related machinery, looking to join an industry leading global organisation who can offer a self starting, motivated operator/ technician the opportunity to full train into Field Service Engineering, progress both in terms of career and technical skill and an employee first working culture including emphasis on work life balance?

    This is a great opportunity to join a innovative and fast growing specialist UK manufacturer/ precision machine supplier who are looking to strengthen the team with talented and driven professionals. They specialise in the precision machinery and engineering market and are looking to launch their next phase of growth.

    On offer is a role where you will receive full training to be able to commission, maintain, repair and install a variety of special Edgebanding machines. You will be required to travel throughout the designated patch area as part of the field engineering team with no stays away or weekend work required.

    This role would suit a machine operator or technician with experience working on Edgebanders and wood related machinery that is looking for an opportunity to progress their career both technically and professionally.

    The Role:

    Edgebander Operator/ Technician (Training into Field Service)
    Full training into the commissioning, maintenance, repair and installation support on a variety of specialised machinery
    Working as part of a wider service engineering team
