How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS2 Teacher (with Curriculum & Phase Leadership Responsibility)

    Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
    Salary: London Fringe MPS - UPS (£34,397 - £52,488 per annum) or £169 - £257 per day (depending on experience)
    Contract Type: Full-Time (Temporary to Permanent opportunity)
    Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)

    A thriving and inclusive primary school in Hemel Hempstead is looking to appoint a confident and motivated KS2 Teacher with additional responsibility for curriculum and phase leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who wants to make a broader impact beyond the classroom while continuing to deliver high-quality teaching.

    The school has a strong community ethos and is committed to providing an ambitious curriculum, high expectations for all pupils, and excellent professional development for staff. They are seeking someone who can contribute to this vision while helping to strengthen practice across Key Stage 2.

    This position would suit an experienced teacher ready to take on additional responsibility, or an aspiring middle leader looking for the next step in their career. A temporary start is available, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

    The Opportunity

    You will have responsibility for teaching a KS2 class, alongside contributing to the development, consistency, and quality of provision across the phase. Working closely with senior leaders, you will help shape teaching practice, curriculum delivery, and pupil outcomes across KS2.

    Classroom Practice

    Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire learners across KS2.
    Establish a calm, purposeful learning environment with high expectations.
    Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and support progress.
    Ensure all pupils are supported, challenged, and able to achieve their best.

    Curriculum & Phase Contribution

    Play an active role in developing and refining KS2 curriculum delivery.
    Work collaboratively to ensure consistency of standards across the phase.
    Share good practice and support colleagues to improve teaching and learning.
    Contribute to planning, monitoring, and evaluation within KS2.

    Whole School Involvement

    Work closely with families to support engagement and pupil progress.
    Contribute to wider school priorities and improvement initiatives.
    Promote safeguarding and ensure the wellbeing of all pupils is prioritised.

    The requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
    Strong classroom practitioner with a record of positive outcomes.
    Interest in curriculum development and/or early leadership experience.
    Ability to work collaboratively and support others effectively.
    Strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
