How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Russell Taylor Group are partnering with a successful pharmaceutical manufacturer to recruit a Site Director / Head of Operations for a key leadership position within their UK business.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmaceutical operations leader to take ownership of a complex manufacturing operation, driving performance, continuous improvement and future growth within a highly regulated environment.

    The Role

    This position will have overall responsibility for Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Health & Safety and Quality, ensuring the site continues to deliver against its operational, compliance and commercial objectives.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Providing strategic leadership across the site and driving operational excellence.
    • Delivering improvements in productivity, efficiency and overall site performance.
    • Ensuring the highest standards of GMP compliance, product quality and patient safety.
    • Leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams to achieve business objectives.
    • Supporting regulatory inspections, customer audits and quality initiatives.
    • Managing operational budgets and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Supporting future growth through operational capability, capacity planning and business improvement projects.
    • Driving a culture of accountability, engagement, safety and performance across the organisation.

    About You

    We are seeking an experienced senior leader with a proven track record within pharmaceutical manufacturing.

    You will possess:

    • Significant leadership experience within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and regulatory compliance.
    • Experience leading multi-functional operational teams and driving site performance.
    • A track record of delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement programmes.
    • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Degree qualification in a scientific, engineering or related discipline.
