How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description

    This opportunity would be to join an already established team and thriving department and lead the department you will be provided support in assistant conveyanvers. You will be working alongside some of the North Easts most talented Conveyancers. The role of Residential Conveyancer involves managing the legal aspects of residential property transactions from inception to completion. The successful candidate undertakes all conveyancing duties, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practise. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines. The candidate would ideally be qualified however unqualified will be considered also. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Conduct thorough legal searches and investigations relating to residential property transactions.
    Prepare and review contracts, transfer documents, and other legal paperwork accurately and timely.
    Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties to progress transactions smoothly.
    Provide clear and professional legal advice to clients regarding the conveyancing process and their obligations.
    Manage and maintain client files and case management systems with up-to-date information and documentation.
    Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies, including money laundering regulations and professional standards.
    Identify and resolve potential issues that may affect the timely completion of transactions.
    Handle the exchange of contracts and completion procedures, ensuring funds are transferred securely and accurately.
    Maintain communication with clients throughout the process to provide updates and respond to queries promptly.
    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the conveyancing department.
