How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A growing FMCG manufacturer are seeking a Engineering Supervisor to oversee engineering operations on the nights shift. As the Engineering Supervisor, where you'll play a pivotal part in driving operational excellence and innovation within the engineering function.     Monday to Thursday Night Shift- 10 Hour Shifts. 

    Salary £50,000 to £53,800 plus Benefits 

    What You Will Do:

    - Manage the Engineering maintenance system to improve machinery uptime and control parts costs.

    - Lead and refine Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules to ensure assets perform to OEM specifications.

    - Conduct root cause analysis on significant downtime events and implement corrective actions.

    - Oversee purchasing of parts and services, ensuring cost-effective solutions and compliance with legal standards.

    - Monitor and report on engineering KPIs, including weekly maintenance budgets and PPM hours.

    - Facilitate contractor activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.

    What You Will Bring:

    - Proven management experience within an engineering function.

    - Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including logic control systems.

    - Experience in using computerised maintenance management systems and writing RAMS.

    - Familiarity with Continuous Improvement techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles.

    - A degree or equiv,alent experience in engineering, alongside formal qualifications in food safety and health & safety management.
