How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Solar Electrician (Training into Site Management)

    South West - Stays Away Required

    £45,000-£50,000 + Van + Bonus/Profit Share + 20% Uplift When Working Away + Training + Progression

    Are you a fully qualified electrician with solar installation experience and some management or supervisory exposure, looking to step into a hands-on leadership role within the commercial solar sector?

    Do you want to join a growing business where you will lead from the front, remain actively involved on the tools, and benefit from strong long-term progression with a company willing to put you through your SSSTS or SMSTS, alongside excellent financial incentives for travel and working away?

    This company are a well-established renewables business specialising in the Commercial Solar industry. Over the past 15 years of operating, the company has built a strong client base and continues to grow through a pipeline of exciting commercial projects. They are looking for a site supervisor to assist them in their growth.

    In this role you will take responsibility for supervising and managing commercial solar PV installation sites, while remaining hands-on in the delivery of the installation work itself. This role balances site leadership, team coordination, and practical installation duties across projects in the Southwest and further afield.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated electrician or team leader looking to move into a longer-term leadership role within a growing commercial solar business, where training such as SSSTS or SMSTS can be provided and future progression will be available as the company continues to expand.

    The Role

    Site Supervisor / Manager working on commercial solar PV installation projects
    Manage and supervise installation sites while remaining hands-on with the installation work
    Support the successful delivery of projects across a growing commercial client base

    Fully qualified electrician
    Solar installation experience
    Management, supervisory, or team leader experience
    Happy to stay away from home and travel as required
