How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrician / Electrical Installation Assessor (Full Training)

    Are you an experienced Electrician or Electrical Installation professional looking to step off the tools and move into a rewarding training role where you can shape the next generation of skilled electricians?

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded and forward-thinking education provider as an Electrical Installation Trainer Assessor, supporting apprentices throughout their learning journey and helping them build the practical skills, knowledge and confidence required to succeed in industry.

    In this role, you will manage a caseload of apprentices, supporting them throughout their apprenticeship journey through workplace visits, coaching, assessment and progress reviews. You will work closely with employers to ensure apprentices are developing the required knowledge, skills and behaviours, whilst preparing them for successful End Point Assessment.

    The position offers excellent flexibility, with a mix of on-site delivery, employer visits and home-based administrative work, providing excellent work-life balance and autonomy.

    The Role:

    * Manage a caseload of Electrical Installation apprentices
    * Deliver coaching, workplace assessments and progress reviews
    * Support apprentices in developing knowledge, skills and behaviours aligned to apprenticeship standards
    * Prepare learners for successful End Point Assessment (EPA)
    * Hybrid working with workplace visits and home-based administration

    The Person:

    * Level 3 qualification (or above) in Electrical Installation or equivalent
    * Strong hands-on industry experience within Electrical Installations
    * Previous assessing, mentoring or teaching experience desirable but not essential
    * Assessor / IQA qualification advantageous
    * Good understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA desirable
    * Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    * Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel locally
