A welcoming and well-regarded ‘Good’ Ofsted rated primary school in Harlow is seeking a dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis. About the Role
As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will work across the classroom supporting the class teacher and pupils to ensure learning is accessible, engaging, and inclusive for all children.
You will play a key role in helping pupils stay focused, confident, and motivated throughout the school day, while also providing targeted support where needed. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting pupils within the classroom to access learning activities
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
Providing support to individuals and small groups where required
Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and participation
Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills
Supporting classroom routines, transitions, and daily activities
Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider school team
The Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children (school or childcare setting preferred)
A patient, positive, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Adaptable and willing to get involved in all aspects of school life
