How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer

    East Scotland

    Up to £47,000 + On-Call Allowance + Overtime

    FMSS Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading HVAC and Building Services provider in the search for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join their growing team in East Scotland.

    Based from our client's East Scotland office, the successful candidate will work across a portfolio of commercial contracts carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and installation works on a range of air conditioning and HVAC systems.

    The Role

    * Carry out planned preventative maintenance on commercial air conditioning systems.

    * Attend reactive breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently.

    * Complete repairs and remedial works to a high standard.

    * Undertake installation and commissioning works as required.

    * Work on a variety of commercial contracts across the East of Scotland.

    * Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures.

    * Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.

    * Participate in the on-call rota.

    Requirements

    * Proven experience working as an Air Conditioning Engineer.

    * F-Gas qualification essential.

    * Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within commercial environments.

    * Installation experience would be highly advantageous.

    * Full UK Driving Licence.

    * Ability to obtain and successfully pass a PVG check due to the nature of some contracts.

    * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

    * Excellent customer service and communication skills.

    Package

    * Salary up to £47,000 depending on experience.

    * On-call allowance.

    * Overtime paid at enhanced rates:

    * Time and a Half (x1.5)

    * Double Time (x2)

    * Company vehicle.

    * Tools and equipment provided.
