Project Manager Decarbonisation

We are seeking experienced and motivated Project Managers – Decarbonisation to lead the successful delivery of projects that support the transition to a low-carbon future. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of decarbonisation initiatives, including energy efficiency upgrades, renewable energy installations, carbon reduction strategies, and sustainability improvement programmes.

We are considering both permanent and freelance Project managers for this particular client.

Working with internal teams, clients, contractors, and key stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with environmental and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through to completion.

* Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, programmes, and risk registers.

* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

* Lead stakeholder engagement and maintain strong client relationships.

* Monitor project performance and provide regular progress reports.

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

* Support the development and implementation of decarbonisation strategies.

* Identify opportunities for energy savings, carbon reduction, and sustainability improvements.

* Manage procurement processes and contractor performance.

* Oversee project financials, including forecasting, cost control, and reporting.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

* Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering decarbonisation, sustainability, energy, construction, or infrastructure projects.

* Strong project planning and delivery skills.

* Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

* Experience managing project budgets and resources.

* Understanding of carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainability principles.

* Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.

* Full UK driving licence (if required for site visits)
