How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Artisan Jeweller with a specialisation in pearl stringing to join our high-end bespoke jewellery workshop.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for fine craftsmanship and an exceptional eye for detail.

You will be responsible for creating, repairing, and restoring exquisite pearl necklaces, bracelets, and other fine jewellery pieces to the highest standards of quality and artistry.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Expertly string and knot pearls and other beads using traditional and modern techniques, ensuring durability and aesthetic perfection.

    * Perform intricate repairs and restorations on vintage and contemporary pearl jewellery, including cleaning, re-stringing, and clasp replacement.

    * Collaborate with designers and clients on custom projects, providing technical expertise on materials, design feasibility, and construction.

    * Maintain a clean and organised workspace, and manage inventory of pearls, threads, clasps, and other essential materials.

    * Conduct quality control checks on all finished pieces to ensure they meet our brand's exacting standards before they reach the client.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    * Proven experience as a jeweller, bench jeweller, or bead stringer, with a strong portfolio showcasing pearl work.

    * Deep knowledge of different pearl types (e.g., Akoya, South Sea, Tahitian, Freshwater), grading, and care.

    * Proficiency in traditional pearl knotting techniques (e.g., using silk or nylon thread) and familiarity with various clasp types and stringing methods.

    * Exceptional manual dexterity, patience, and a keen eye for detail and symmetry.

    Nice-to-Have Qualifications

    * Formal training or certification in gemology (e.g., GIA) or jewellery making.

    * Experience with wire-wrapping techniques and incorporating other gemstones into pearl designs.

    * Previous work in a luxury retail or bespoke jewellery environment
