How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title:  Maths Teacher (Maternity cover)
    Location:  3 Dimensions School, Chard, Somerset, TA20 1PB
    Hours:       40 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8.30am - 4.30pm
    Salary:      £39,500 per annum (not pro rata)
    Contract:  Fixed term- July 2027 | Term Time Only
    Start:         September 2026

    At 3 Dimensions School, we specialise in supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD and trauma-related needs. We’re looking for a Maths Teacher who can bring learning to life, build trust, and help our learners achieve meaningful progress — academically, socially and emotionally.

    What You’ll Do

    Delivering engaging, differentiated Maths lessons across KS3, KS4 and Post-16

    Teaching a blend of functional maths, Entry Level, GCSE (where appropriate) and real-life numeracy

    Adapting teaching to meet EHCP outcomes and individual learning profiles

    Using creative strategies such as visual scaffolding, chunking, practical resources and overlearning

    Embedding trauma-informed, low-arousal approaches to support regulation and engagement

    Tracking progress, identifying gaps and celebrating every success

    Building strong, positive relationships that help students feel safe, confident and ready to learn

    Who We’re Looking For

    Essential:

    Experience teaching or supporting Maths learning

    Ability to differentiate for a wide range of needs

    Strong relationship-building and classroom management skills

    A commitment to inclusive, child-centred education

    Driving licence required 

    Desirable:

    QTS (or working towards it)

    Experience in SEN or alternative provision

    Experience delivering Functional Skills, Entry Level or GCSE Maths

    Understanding of EHCPs and preparation for adulthood
