How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title – Night Shift Production Shift Manager

    Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
    Salary: £44,556 + 7.5% Shift Allowance (approx. £47,500 total package)
    Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 23:00 – 07:00 (Night Shift)

    Job Role of the Night Shift Production Shift Manager

    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Night Shift Production Shift Manager to join a well-established and fast-growing FMCG food manufacturing business operating within a high-volume production environment. The site is part of a larger, successful group supplying major UK retailers, with continued investment driving expansion and operational improvements.

    You will be responsible for leading a production shift team of approximately 20 employees, including operators and line leaders, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production throughout the night shift. This is a hands-on leadership role (approximately 70% operational, 30% office-based), requiring strong visibility on the shop floor and the ability to support the team when required.

    Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Night Shift Production Shift Manager

    Minimum 2 years’ supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing environment.

    Proven ability to lead and manage production teams in a fast-paced setting.

    Desirable Requirements for the Night Shift Production Shift Manager

    Experience within chilled, ambient, or high-care food manufacturing environments.

    Knowledge of BRC standards.

    Continuous improvement / lean manufacturing experience.

    The Night Shift Production Shift Manager Will Benefit From:
