Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for your next opportunity in a dynamic Assessment Team? Newport Children's Services on the Isle of Wight are seeking a motivated and dedicated Social Worker to join their frontline Assessment Service. Key Responsibilities
Undertake Child and Family Assessments in line with statutory requirements.
Manage a varied caseload involving children in need, child protection, and safeguarding concerns.
Complete robust risk assessments and formulate effective intervention plans.
Work closely with multi-agency partners including schools, health professionals, and police.
Prepare high-quality reports, assessments, and recommendations.
Attend strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and other statutory meetings.
Ensure children and families are fully involved in assessment and planning processes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with departmental standards.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
Registered with Social Work England.
Previous experience within a Children's Assessment, Duty & Assessment, or Front Door Team.
Strong knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and safeguarding procedures.
Excellent assessment, report writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
