How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Independent food manufacturer in the Vale of Belvoir (close to Grantham) are looking for a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to add to the team. This is a great opportunity to join a profitable, stable and growing business who continue to invest in their brand, site and people.

    Engineers from other sectors who are seeking to enter a Maintenance Engineer role are welcome to apply and the company has had good success in doing this.

    Role:

    Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer
    Mon to Fri ‘Double Days’  

    6am – 2pm - 1st week
    2pm – 10pm – 2nd week

    Will suit engineers who live in Grantham, Newark or east of Nottingham area
    Benefits:

    Salary c£41,500

    Key responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:

    Ensure that high quality production output is achieved through effective maintenance.
    Use preventative maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
    Monitor processes and equipment, report variances and take corrective and remedial action.
    Communicate malfunctions to relevant people or departments.
    Respond to unplanned maintenance breakdown events.
    Complete engineering project work as required for installation and modifications to equipment and processes.
    Experience and skills required:

    Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G’s or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level
    Multi skilled, mechanical and electrical skills / experience. (ideally electrically biased)
    Apprenticeship trained.
    Confident to work on own when required.
    Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production.
    Food manufacturing experience would be very advantageous.
