How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    If you take pride in maintaining the highest standards and understand the vital role cleanliness plays in food production, this Hygiene Operative opportunity offers the chance to make a real impact every day. You'll help ensure production environments remain safe, compliant and audit-ready while supporting the delivery of quality products to customers.

    Your responsibilities as Hygiene Operative

    Clean production equipment, machinery and assembly areas in line with cleaning schedules and procedures
    Maintain high standards of cleanliness across floors, drains, walls, workstations and communal areas
    Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly in accordance with COSHH regulations and site procedures
    Complete hygiene documentation, cleaning records and verification paperwork accurately
    Support food safety requirements by maintaining an audit-ready environment throughout the shift
    Report any hygiene, chemical or safety concerns promptly to management 
    What we're looking for in a Hygiene Operative

    Previous experience within a food production, hygiene or industrial cleaning environment
    Understanding of food safety, hygiene and health and safety requirements
    Experience following cleaning schedules, procedures and compliance standards
    Ability to complete records and documentation accurately
    Knowledge of safe chemical handling and COSHH procedures 
    Working hours: Day Shift
