We are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Northampton who are seeking a dedicated English Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a full-time role offering both contract and permanent options, and would suit experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop within a supportive environment.

About the Role:

Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 depending on experience)
Plan and deliver creative schemes of work that develop reading, writing, and analytical skills
Inspire a love of literature, exploring both classic and modern texts
Support learners of all abilities, including SEND and EAL students, through effective differentiation
Encourage discussion, critical thinking, and creative expression in the classroom
Assess, track, and provide feedback to support strong student progress
Contribute to departmental initiatives, literacy development, and enrichment opportunities such as clubs or wider school activitiesWho We're Looking For:

Qualified English Teachers (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in Language and Literature
Teachers who can make English engaging, accessible, and relevant for all learners
Confident classroom practitioners with strong behaviour management and high expectations
Reflective professionals who enjoy working collaboratively and developing their practice
