How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Stanley
    Hourly Rate: Up to £13.54 per hour (DOE)
    Shifts: DS/NS rotation 2 weeks of days / 2 weeks of nights

    Job Description:

    As a Robot Welding Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining robotic welding machines to ensure consistent, high-quality output on a range of metal components. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve machine operation, quality inspections, basic maintenance, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

    This hands-on role is perfect for someone who has a keen eye for detail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to producing precision work while adhering to safety standards.

    Key Duties Include:

    * Operating and monitoring robotic welding equipment

    * Loading and unloading metal parts into welding fixtures

    * Dressing and finishing welded parts using tools like grinders and scrapers

    * Changing welding fixtures and loading the correct programmes

    * Performing visual and dimensional checks using gauges and measuring tools

    * Reporting welding defects and collaborating with team leaders for resolutions

    * Carrying out routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs

    * Maintaining accurate documentation through computer-based systems

    Skills & Experience:

    * Basic or intermediate welding and fabrication experience (MIG, TIG preferred)

    * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications

    * Familiarity with robotic welding systems (FANUC, ABB, Motoman) is highly desirable

    * Proficient with inspection tools such as verniers, callipers, weld gauges

    * Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination

    * Willingness to work in a physically demanding industrial environment

    * Commitment to safety and clean working practices
