How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Design Technology & Photography Teacher - Wellingborough Area

    Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
    Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity

    Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a talented and creative Design Technology & Photography Teacher on behalf of a welcoming secondary school in the Wellingborough area.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative educator who is passionate about developing students' creativity, technical skills, and confidence through practical learning. The successful candidate will teach Design Technology and Photography across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to explore design processes, visual communication, and creative expression.

    The Role

    As a Design Technology & Photography Teacher, you will:

    Deliver engaging and creative lessons in Design Technology and Photography

    Encourage students to develop practical, technical, and creative skills

    Plan and deliver lessons that challenge and inspire learners of all abilities

    Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback

    Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and achievement

    Support students in developing independent thinking and problem-solving skills

    Contribute to the wider success of the Creative Arts and Technology departments

    The Ideal Candidate

    The successful applicant will:

    Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards achieving it

    Have experience teaching Design Technology and/or Photography at secondary level

    Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for creative education

    Be confident delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons

    Have strong classroom management and communication skills

    Be committed to helping students achieve their full potential
