Key Responsibilities of a Deburr Operative:
* Remove burrs and debris from machined components using appropriate tools and techniques
* Inspect critical features to ensure components meet quality standards
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Use borescopes to inspect cross holes and galleries
* Complete and sign off dimensional record sheets
* Operate wash tanks to clean finished components
* Maintain traceability of all components
* Support part marking activities following training
* Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping within the work area
* Work closely with the machine shop team to ensure production targets are met
Key Skills of a Deburr Operative:
* Previous deburring or precision engineering experience
* Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Experience using hand tools and inspection equipment
* Understanding of surface finish requirements
* Strong quality focus and pride in workmanship
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
