How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Take ownership of costs for your allocated section of works in conjunction with the commercial team
Capture and manage all changes in scope across operations, commercial, programme and design
Conduct regular H&S checks and CDM audits; ensure RAMS, Permit to Work and induction systems are in place
Attend client and stakeholder meetings, building effective working relationships
Ensure all works are carried out to the latest design information with strict quality control maintained
Identify temporary works requirements and undertake value engineering solutions
Report on progress and performance to the Project Manager and assist with cost forecasting and reporting
Lead and develop direct reports, conducting annual PDRs and monitoring team competency

    Requirements

    Essential qualifications & certifications:

HNC or higher in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
    SMSTS
    CSCS
    EUSR National Water Hygiene
    EUSR 1 & 2
    Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
    First Aid
    Fire Marshal
    Skills & experience:

Proven experience managing multiple or large packages of civil works on live sites
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and CDM 2015 regulations
Commercially astute with the ability to manage cost, programme and change effectively
Experience of M&E works on water or utilities projects
Water industry background — treatment works experience is highly advantageous
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and schedules
Strong leadership, delegation and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Office 365; CAD familiarity an advantage

    What’s on Offer

You will be joining an established environment and water delivery team working within a major AMP8 framework at a time of significant UK water sector investment. The project offers a technically interesting scope and long-term programme stability.
